LOBBY DAYS W/ COLORADO NORML
FEB 8TH & MARCH 15TH
BE BRILLIANT
We facilitate Lobby Week to encourage communication between Colorado lawmakers and their constituents. A crucial component of passing sensible marijuana legislation is interaction between citizens and the Legislature. During Lobby Week, constituents can meet with their legislators and discuss cannabis-related issues that pertain to their respective district. By partaking in Lobby Week, you are ensuring that your voice is heard.
ABOUT COLORADO NORML
Colorado NORML is dedicated to reforming marijuana laws and protecting the marijuana consumer. Colorado NORML also supports NORML’s mission of moving public opinion sufficiently to achieve the repeal of marijuana prohibition so that the responsible use of cannabis by adults is no longer subject to criminal sanction.
Colorado NORML is a state chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML). We are working to educate our fellow Coloradoans about marijuana including hemp, its potential medical and industrial uses, and about the need to end current laws prohibiting marijuana possession and distribution.
We are working cooperatively with the other organizations with common interests, such as the LEAP (Law Enforcement Against Prohibition), CPRC, Safe Access Colorado, SCCC, and many other friends.
Since its founding in 1970, NORML has provided a voice in the public policy debate for those Americans who oppose marijuana prohibition and favor an end to the practice of arresting marijuana consumers. A non-profit public-interest advocacy group, NORML represents the interests of the millions of Americans who consume marijuana responsibly.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our organization’s mission is to reform marijuana laws by working with government officials to progress cannabis regulation within Colorado and protect cannabis consumers physically, economically, and legally.
VALUES STATEMENT
Colorado NORML’s core values encompass educating Coloradans about the medical, economic, and social benefits of both marijuana and hemp, as well as the need to ensure and improve the safety of products derived from them. We also believe in promoting social responsibility and sustainability within the industry while working with government officials to help further the progress of Colorado’s growing cannabis community.
VISION STATEMENT
Colorado NORML’s vision is a United States where marijuana use has been legalized across all 50 States, and a Colorado where marijuana consumers may exercise their right to use cannabis without fear of stigma or punishment.
